The FCTM Board established this annual grant in recognition of Dr. Tom Denmark, a long time active FCTM member. Through this grant the Board hopes to encourage participation at the FCTM Annual Conference as a way to provide mathematics professional development for FCTM members.
The Florida Council of Teachers of Mathematics will award up to four Enhancement Grants for full time classroom teachers to attend the FCTM Annual Conference. The board will attempt to award one to a teacher from each of the following categories: Primary (Pre-K-2) teacher, Intermediate (3-5) teacher, Middle School (6-8) teacher, and High School (9-12) teacher. The annual application deadline is March 14.
Awardees will be required to submit a report on their session and workshop experiences encountered at the conference along with their receipts for reimbursement, no later than November 30th. The FCTM Treasurer will send a check to each recipient upon receipt of these materials.
Details: Each recipient of the grant will be reimbursed up to $500. This will help cover the cost of registration, as well as accommodations and transportation to attend the FCTM Annual Conference.
